This watercolor set was produced while I was off studying in Italy. It's amazing how many memories can be frozen in paint. The real images of these places are lost with my waning memory, replaced by colors. I guess it can be argued though that 'we don't see reality, we only see how we see reality'. So in a way, the colors I through down on paper better reflect what I saw than the real scene itself.
