At times I feel like art has an unapproachable stigma. The "look but don't touch" philosophy has been ingrained in us since childhood. In reality though there is no need to be intimidated by art. Paintings tell stories. The story is different for each viewer. The most gratifying feeling is to produce a painting for someone who absolutely loves it. There are several paintings which have stirred up personal memories in people. I've received several thank you's after posting pictures. Thank you for sparking that memory or forgotten emotion.
You don't have to be an art docent to appreciate a painting. Paintings are about stories and emotions. Art is accessible to everyone.
